Overland Journey to Lhasa Tour |
|
 We
began this journey from the
Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal.
We spend some time exploring
the ancient city of
Kathmandu before following
Bhotekosi River to Kodari,
our crossing point to Tibet.
Soon we will climb to Nylam
and Tingri there is not
doubt that we are in
different land-one of remote
wild looking, nomadic yak &
herdsman and monasteries.
Our drive through the high
passes gives awesome views
of Himalayan ranges
including Mt. Everest & a
dozen or more giant snow
covered peaks. Crossing the
Karo La Pass and turquoise
water of Yamdork Tso Lake
then to Lhasa. We fly back
to Nepal where our journey
ends. Enjoy stunning aerial
views of the Himalayas.

DAY 01: Fly Kathmandu
to Lhasa and transfer to
Tsedang. Afternoon
sightseeing tour to Yambu
Lhakhang and Cha Duk
Monastery o/nt at hotel
Tsedang.
DAY 02: TSEDANG
–VISIT to samye Monastery
and the valley of cradle to
Tibetan civilization.
Overnight at hotel Tsedang.
DAY 03: Drive to
Gyantse via Yamdrok-Tso
Lake. Later in the afternoon
visit to khumbum Stupa and
Phalkor Monastery. O/nt at
hotel Gyantse.
DAY 04: Drive via
shalu to Xigatse.
Sightseeing tour of
Tashilunpo Monastery and the
free market of Xigatse. O/nt
at hotel Xigatse.
DAY 05: Drive to
Lhasa via Northern highway
and visit Norbulinka place.
O/nt in Lhasa.
DAY 06: Sightseeing
tour of sera Monastery,
Jokhang Temple and Barkhor
Bazaar.
DAY 07: sightseeing
tour of potala place &
Drepung Monastery.
DAY 08: Transfer to
Gonggar airport for your
flight to Kathmandu.

After an hour
trans-Himalayan flight, we
reach the Forbidden City of
Lhasa. It is situated at
3,600m. (11,850 ft) above
sea level and is the
religious, cultural and
economic centre of Tibet.
The ruined Places,
monasteries, holy sites
including Potala, the 13
storey - 1000 rooms palace
of the Dalai Lama, and the
monasteries of Drepung,
Sera, Norbulingka, and
Jokhang, are the holiest
monuments in Lhasa. We fly
back to Nepal on day 7.

DAY 01: Fly on CHINA
SOUTH WEST AIRLINES to
Lhasa. Upon arrival at
Gonggar airport, you shall
be met and transfer provided
to Lhasa city. O/nt hotel.
DAY 02: Visit Sera
Monastery, Jokhang Temple&
Barkhor Bazaar.
DAY 03: Visit potala
place& Drepung Monastery.
DAY 04: Morning tour
of the Norbulinka place, The
newly opened Tibetan Museum
and Tibetan Medical center.
Rest of the day free to
explore Lhasa city.
DAY 05:
Transfer to Gonggar airport
to board your flight to
Kathmandu. |
