Royal Bardia National Park
Journey
into the remote past when you visit
the ancient jungles of the Royal
Bardia National Park. "Watching the
sun rise over the forest from the
back of an elephant is like having a
box seat at the dawn of time."
(Lonely Planet Guide Book). In the
lush jungles and open savannahs of
the park, you have a better chance
of seeing a Royal Bengal Tiger than
at any other place in Nepal. Also
look out for Leopards, Jungle Cats,
Mongoose, Sloth Bears, Blue
Cow,Langur, Rhesus Monkeys, Barking
Deer, Wild Hogs, Asian One-Horned
Rhinoceros, about 250 different
species of Birds, including some
endangered birds, and at least one
Wild Elephant! In the rushing Geruwa
River can be found the famous
Mahseer Game Fish, Gharial and
Mugger Crocodiles, and the amazing
Gangetic Dolphin! Bardia is similar
to Chitwan but much more isolated
and further from the crowds.
Combining a trek through Bardia with
a white water rafting trip on the
Karnali River is the experience of a
lifetime.
