ANNAPURNA REGION TREK :: |
|
Annapurna Region
Trekking starts slowly at a
low altitude, gently winding through
tropical gorges, forests, waterfalls
and numerous villages up to the
incredible Annapurna and Dhaulagiri
Ranges. This region is inhabited by
the gentle Magar and Gurung people,
who are a mixture of Buddhists and
Hindus. Trekking in the Annapurna
region is a more people orientated
experience with teahouses dotting
the trail to welcome you with a hot
lemon drink or chia, the local tea.
However, the Annapurna region is no
less spectacular and ultimately
delivers amazing mountain views.
Sunrise over the famous 'fishtail'
mountain, Machhapuchare, will leave
you breathless. Machhapuchare is the
scared mountain of the Queen of
Nepal and has never been climbed. It
is the most picturesque of all peaks
in Nepal and your trek in the
Annapurna region will show you this
magic peak from many different
angles.
